Love and Elements Matc

Post by Love Amour Amore on Wednesday

The twelve signs of the zodiac all fall under certain elements, which characterize their behavior and personality. Earth signs, for example, are practical, realistic, and, indeed, down-to-earth. Fire signs symbolize will, enthusiasm, and great energy. Air signs lean more towards thoughts, so the people born under this sign tend to quite analytical, while water signs represent emotions and intuition. Here is how the zodiac signs are categorized according to their elements.

Earth: Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo
Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Fire: Leo, Sagittarius, Aries
Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces .

All three signs in each category have qualities of their own, and they can either be a cardinal sign, the fixed sign, or the mutable sign. The cardinal sign reflects qualities of being a goal-oriented leader, the fixed sign is stable, while the mutable sign is more flexible and adaptable.

So how do the signs get along with each other? Here’s a quick rundown of what the signs can expect from one another when they meet.

Earth and air: The earth represents balance and stability while the air deals more with free-thinking and ideas. The air sign provides earth a chance to fly free every once in a while and the earth sign keeps air grounded and makes sure that any plans can come to life.

Earth and earth: Here is one truly powerful partnership which can do a great job of building their future and fortune, but both must remember how to relax and enjoy life together.

Earth and fire: Earth is the perfect foil for fire’s frequent bursts of inspiration. While fire is full of dreams and ideas, earth can definitely make a way to turn these into reality, as well as help fire stay realistic.

Earth and water: This is another match that changes and develops the parties involved. While water can soften earth by helping it get in touch with emotions, the earth can do its part by showing water a more pragmatic way of thinking.

Air and air: A pair of air signs is a guarantee that the union will be a true meeting of the minds and promises to flourish through an open and honest exchange of thoughts.

Air and fire: These two can definitely make sparks fly. They complement each other by making sure that their energy and ideas combine to bring about their plans in life.

Air and water: A very strong emotional connection will keep these two together, and make a great team by being able to fuse the powers of both the heart and mind. Water will allow air to be more emotionally expressive while air can show water how to express ideas.

Water and fire: Fire can help water bubble up and be more active while water lends some calmness to the fire element. Beware that one element should overpower the other, however.

Water and water: Two emotionally aware signs can only make for a truly deep bond.

Fire and fire: Two fire signs coming together can be very exciting indeed. This is bound to be an adventurous combination, but two dominant wills can also be in danger of fizzing out, so they must learn to strike the proper balance.

How To Make Love Last

Post by Love Amour Amore on Tuesday

Is the phrase "Till death do us part" losing its meaning in today's society?
One could not help but ask that. It seems that nowadays, most people could no longer count on having a relationship that really lasts for a whole lifetime. Divorces and multiple marriages are becoming common, and many relationships fail to go beyond being just short term. It is getting easy to believe that permanence no longer has a strong hold in relationships these days.

And yet, despite the seeming lack of permanence in relationships these days, people still ask about how to make the love last forever. Is there a special formula that can make a relationship last that long? The answer to this question is yes, there is a special formula that a relationship needs to make it last long. The special ingredients that this formula contains are: honesty, respect, humor, flexibility, forgiveness and idealism.

Honesty. Honesty is about being open about your own feelings and sentiments about your partner and about your relationship. Holding back and withdrawing information about something vital in your life from your partner shuts him or her out and creates a barrier. When the barrier becomes stronger than the relationship, the relationship begins to fail.

Respect. Respect is a basic need for people. A person needs to know that he or she is being held with regard and consideration, especially by his or her partner, who is supposed to be the person closest to him or her. To show respect is to show importance to what the other is feeling or going through, and to back off when lines are being crossed.

Humor. Shared laughter is like the glue that cements the relationship together and keeps it stronger. Shared laughter means that the two people making up the relationship are happy together and are building happy memories for themselves. When the humor disappears from the partnership and nobody is laughing anymore, it is a sign that the relationship is falling apart.

Flexibility. A relationship is made up of two very different people. Each one has his or her own strengths and weaknesses and other characteristics that make the person who he or she is. It is not possible for two very different people to meld to each other all the time, and personality clashes are unavoidable. Thus, a person needs to be flexible and to make room for these differences in his or her partner.

Forgiveness. No one is perfect and everyone commits mistakes. Rather than striving to be perfect or expecting perfection in one’s partner, what is more important is to have the ability to forgive and to forget the mistakes that the partner commits, to learn from these mistakes, and then to move on. Without forgiveness, love can turn into bitterness and resentment.

Idealism. In today’s jaded world, it can be hard to believe that something as fleeting as love could actually last forever. If the two people in the relationship hold a strong conviction that their love will last forever and are doing everything that they can do to make it so, then the love will last indeed.

How Healthy Is Your Relationship?

Post by Love Amour Amore

It is so easy to say that your relationship with your sweetie is going smoothly, without any flaws, cracks or snag. If it were really that easy, then why do a lot of women seem baffled when their relationships come to an end, crying and claiming that “We were doing so well. What could have gone wrong?”

It is not easy to peer through the seemingly smooth surface of a relationship and have a good hard look at what is going on underneath. The sex may be awesome, the two of you may be having a lot of fun together, and whatever conflicts the two of you may have are easily resolved. Yet, for all these so-called positive indicators of the health of a relationship, something could be missing. This missing link could mean the end of your relationship in the long run.

It takes honesty and courage to be able to take a peek beneath the surface. Few actually deign to take more than a passing glance. But how do you know if the relationship you are in is really healthy, or if you are just glossing it over, waiting for things to fall apart?

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Can you speak your mind to your significant other without fearing his anger?

In a healthy relationship, the two persons making up the couple do not have to censor what they have to say to each other, no matter how much what the other has to say hurts. They listen patiently to each other, without going on the defensive or throwing a royal tantrum. However, rather than phrasing your words as an attack on his character, you should instead give constructive criticism and be as supportive as you can.

2. Have the two of you become mutually exclusive, or do you still get to do your own thing?

Doing some things together does wonders for the growth of intimacy between couples. However, doing everything together, to the point of abandoning friends and the pursuits and hobbies that you used to enjoy just so the two of you could become mutually exclusive, is very unhealthy. It will eventually lead to boredom and personal stagnation. Also, letting your guy do his own thing shows your generosity and your desire to see him grow as a person.

3. Are you your own self when you are with him, or do you have to put your best foot forward?

A relationship is healthy if the couple has learned to accept each other wholly. There is no need to hide behind masks and to disguise their true selves when they are together. To show him your true personality, all your flaws and all your idiosyncrasies, is a mark of your trust in him. If he accepts you entirely, flaws, flabs and kinks included, is a validation of your trust in him. This goes both ways, by the way.

4. Do the two of you get to laugh with each other and at each other?

Being able to laugh with each other and at each other is a good sign of a healthy relationship. This means that you enjoy each other’s company a lot. Also, to be able to make each other laugh means both of you understands what makes the other tick. A couple that can laugh together through good times and through bad are meant to be together forever.

5. Can you give your sex life a quick jumpstart even after a long rut?

Even if you have been at it like rabbits for the first few months of your relationship, sex cannot be hot all the time. There will always be a time when the two of you will be stuck in a rut. But what counts more for a healthy sex life together is the ability to communicate and address each other’s needs, igniting the passion whenever the two of you want it.

6. Does he bring out the best in you?

Partners in a healthy relationship constantly support and encourage each other in everything they do. They help each other grow and become more than they are with each day that passes. If the relationship is healthy, just being with the person you love and in a relationship with makes you a better person.

Long Distance Relationships

Post by Love Amour Amore

A long distance relationship, fondly called LDR for short in dating circles, is very hard to maintain. All the things that couples who live near each other get to enjoy and sometimes take for granted, such as intimacy and togetherness, are things that people in long distance relationships need to put extra effort in. The mere fact that LDR couples live far apart from each other, with no means of knowing what the other is up to or who the other is seeing or talking to, puts a lot of strain into the relationship.

Keeping the love strong in a long distance relationship is a true challenge. Here are a few pointers that can help keep the love alive no matter how far the distance.

1. Agree on some ground rules on how your long distance relationship should work. Be honest with each other on what the two of you want out of this relationship. Decide how often you would like to communicate with each other, on what occasions you should go fly to meet up with each other, if the two of you are free to see other people, and other such things. Setting expectations and agreeing on ground rules will help prevent unnecessary arguments in the future.

2. Keep in touch the old way. Emails, instant messaging, webcam and voice chatting is all nice and convenient, but there is something special about sending snail mail. The person who received it can put it his wallet and take it out to read whenever loneliness or the blues set in. Voice messages recorded on tape or CD, along with a few choice tracks from favorite artists are also great stuff to receive in the mail.

3. Get hooked on a common activity. It could be watching the same TV program at the same time, or maybe a movie on cable or DVD. Reading the same books works too. In this way, you both have something to talk about, and it simulates togetherness for the two of you, even if you are so far apart.

4. Do not sweat over the small stuff. Problems that are actually small in hindsight appear to be bigger than they actually are because the two of you do not get to talk as much as you can. So, when small things that are not really anything more than mildly irritating happen between the two of you, just let it slide. Do your fights for the really important stuff that matters.

5. Embrace uncertainty in your relationship. The two of you do not see each other all the time, so when the two of you do meet face to face, you might seem like strangers to each other. This feeling of uncertainty will not stay there for long. However, if it does linger far longer than it should, then perhaps the two of you have indeed become strangers. In that case, decide to break up gracefully.

6. Be honest. While the old saying tells us that distance makes the heart grow fonder, another and equally true saying states that distance can make the heart forget. If you have fallen in love with someone else who lives near you, or if you just feel that you do not love the other person anymore, just say so. However, say so over the phone, not over email, IM or answering machine. You know he/she deserves more than that.

7. Surprise the other by showing up at his/her doorstep out of the blue. There is nothing like seeing your best beloved in the flesh when words just cannot give justice to emotions.

When Love Has Gone

Post by Love Amour Amore

It does not matter who called it quits first; ending a relationship, no matter how long or short it lasted, is always hard to do. Your mind will always go over every element that made up your relationship in the quest to find out exactly what went wrong between you and the guy you thought was Mr. Right and the process can be very painful, even if you were the one who said goodbye first.

The hurt that you may be feeling with regards the breakup can get even worse once you find that out that he who was once the man in your life has begun to see someone else. That would get you start questioning yourself as to why you have not yet moved on when he obviously has done so.

If this happens to you, you will need to deal with the reality that everything is finally over between the two of you, even if you are not exactly ready to move on. You do not necessarily have to find someone to replace him just yet; just do something that will help ease the blow of the news.

The first thing you need to do is to stop comparing yourself with your ex’s new squeeze. Stop asking yourself questions like “Is she prettier than me?” or “Does he love her more than he loved me?” or “What is she doing that makes him happy, a lot happier than I ever made him?” These questions will only make you go spiraling down in despair. Remember that whatever happened between you and your ex, you broke up because the two of you are not compatible enough to be able to bridge the gap created by whatever went wrong. The two of you are just not a good match.

Another thing you should do is to make sure that your paths will not cross with his and his new girl’s. If you have to change your daily routine, like the route you take when you drive to the office, then do not hesitate to do so. Do not ask your friends for any news about him, and tell them as well that you do not want to hear anything about whatever is going on with him at the moment. If he stays out of your sight, he gets out of your mind.

Even if you do manage to bump into him and his new girl, probably at a restaurant or at the mall, be polite and do not snub them. Smile and say hi, and then walk away. You do not need to feel embarrassed or to think you are pathetic, even if the sight of them fills you with humiliation. Being civil to them will make him think that you are doing okay and actually fill yourself with confidence.

Lastly, enjoy this time of being alone. More often than not, women in relationships tend to set aside some of the things they enjoy in order to make room for the man in their lives. Being alone is as great a time as any to reconnect with your interest and rediscover who you are. Take this time to spoil yourself and enjoy being just you and not as somebody else’s girl.

Apakah Dia Seperti Anda Atau Tidak?

Does He Like You

Most women would agree that the first few weeks of a relationship is like a roller coaster ride. She and her man will definitely experience many ups and downs as they get to know each other. While there will surely be a lot of fun days and hot nights, but there will also be times when a woman will feel like she is walking on eggshells.

One of the questions that are possibly lurking in her mind at the start of the relationship is whether or not the guy is in it just for the fun times and the romps in bed, or if he is a keeper who is serious about making the relationship last. How can she tell if her role in his life is to be is Friday night girl or if there is potential for her to hold a special place in his heart – for keeps?

There are plenty of signs that can show her the answer, but here are three tell-tale signs of just how deep his degree of involvement in the relationship is that you will certainly not miss.

First of all, when a guy really likes a girl, he tends to be secretive about himself and his needs. It can be frustrating for the woman he is with, but that is just his way of showing his consideration for her. He does not want to appear needy and so will not bother her with every minute detail in his life. On the other hand, a man who is into the relationship only for the sex will deliberately be open about his life. Doing so will make him appear vulnerable to the woman, and there is no bigger bait that a woman will bite than a man who makes it seem that he needs her.

Another sign of liking that a girl should watch out for from his man is whether he pokes fun at the things she does or not. It could come in the form of mockingly criticizing her cooking or jokingly insisting that her favorite matinee idol is a horrible actor. Joking around is his way of hiding his vulnerability. It is also a way for him to test the level of her sense of humor. A good sense of humor is a mark of intelligence, and seriously, guys do not really like to be around a girl who is so straight and uptight.

The third and last sign that a woman should look for to know if the man in her life will only be with her while the fun is going or will stay with her for the long haul is his eye contact. A guy who is finding himself falling in love with a woman normally turns shy around her and will not want to be caught staring at her, especially when they are with other people. Oh, he will look at her, but not when he thinks she or anyone else is looking. Inasmuch as he will not look at her face or body, however, his shoulders and body will remain facing her when they are mingling with other people.

Or she can just walk up straight to him and ask him the truth. That works too.

Love Words

Post by Love Amour Amore

I have tried to find the words
To tell you how I feel
The words that will convince you
That what I feel is real.

I know that you've been hurt by love
And I’ve been wounded too
But together we can heal the scars
Of loves which made us blue.

I had spent some time avoiding love
With its anguish and its pain
But since the moment I first saw you
I've learned to love again.
If you could only see with my eyes
The beauty you would behold
And with my heart you’d really know
The love of which I've told.

I know you feel the same as I
When in your arms I lie
I can feel the love that’s in your heart
And I'm yours until I die.
