Where I Belong

It seems as if I have been waiting a lifetime for love
I thought I knew what it was to love and be loved, I did not.

My heart has never been so full, my soul never this content
Until God brought you to me and crumbled the wall of fear and pain.

When you came into my life you made my heart start beating again
When your smile touched my eyes my spirit began to sing.

You have given me strength to endure, you make me see my true self
The compassion you have in your heart has spread joy throughout my body.

The way your warm hands touch me is so gentle and soft
When you put your long arms around me, I know I’ll always be safe.

When your lips touch mine there is a sweetness I’ve never known
